UPDATE 10/16: Nadia awakened from the coma yesterday and was released from the hospital today and is at home. There does not appear to be any lasting physical damage, but we still covet your continued prayers, as her illness is something that will never "go away" or be cured and must be dealt with on a continual basis. Please continue to pray for Nadia and her family, as the road to getting the illness under complete control may be a long one full of obstacles.
This is a video of Nadia made by her sister, Kaylee:
A woman named Nadia is in a coma right now and at the time that I write this (late Saturday night Oct 13/early Sunday morning Oct 14) the doctors are not sure of her prognosis.
Nadia is only 22 years old and has seven children - twin girls Alliza (Ally) and Kelsey, who are 7; Amelia (Mia) who is 3; Reuben (Ben) who is 2; Francesca (Frankie) who is 1; and twins Olivia and Jacob, who are only three months old.
Nadia suffers from schizophrenia and on October 10 she had an episode which culminated in a suicide attempt, resulting in the coma she is in now. For more information about schizophrenia, please see http://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/publications/schizophrenia/complete-publication.shtml
For current information on Nadia's condition please visit her best friend Dianne's blog at http://lostsanity.mindsay.com and her sister Kaylee's blog at http://kaylz.mindsay.com.
Once you have visited those sites, please pray for Nadia and her family, and go to http://www.anvilbook.com/guestbook.php?prayersfornadia and leave a message for them.
Please also direct everyone you know to this page, as I believe very strongly in the power of prayer, and I believe that through the healing power of God and his Son Jesus, that Nadia can be healed and will come through this, and I wish for as many people to pray for Nadia as can be reached.
Deut. 7:19 - You saw with your own eyes the great trials, the miraculous signs and wonders, the mighty hand and outstretched arm, with which the LORD your God brought you out. The LORD your God will do the same to all the peoples you now fear.
Mark 11:22-25 - Have faith in God,' Jesus answered. 'I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, "Go, throw yourself into the sea," and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."
Philippians 4:6-7 - Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
